... to Washington, D.C. Nothing very guitar-oriented happened while I was down there, although I should mention that the stringed-instruments room at the Smithsonian Museum of American History contained NO guitars! What's up with that?
My only other news is that I'm deep into planning the particulars of my next band, The Phantom Corsairs. We'll write and play original music that combines blues, rockabilly, surf, Bakersfield-sound country, Americana and roots rock. If anyone knows a good steel guitar player in New Jersey, please send me his or her info (just for sessions -- not for band membership). I was all set to start recording the album in Los Angeles in June, but real life done got in the way. Oh well.
